Ernest retired from Westinghouse Research and Development in Churchill as a project manager. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Trafford. He was preceded in death by his step-brother, Frederick Earhart. Beloved husband for 52 years to the late Wilma June (Kennedy) who passed on February 2, 1998. Loving father of Robert Edwin Davie. Jr. (Joanne V. Fratangelo) and the late John Jack Kennedy Davie; cherished grandfather to Jackie Davie (Erik Weidenboerner), Audra Davie (Brian DeSpain) and Clay Matthew Davie (Nora Hickey); great-grandfather of Elijah Davie Weidenboerner, Ezekiel Davie Weidenboerner, and Beau Robert DeSpain. HENRY WILLIAM LAWRENCE Born on April 13, 1925, in Worcester, MA, to the late Lawrence and Jenny Henry, passed away at age 92 on April 8, 2018, in Pittsburgh, PA. Bill attended North High in Worcester, MA, where he played football and basketball. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy during World War II and served on the USS Nashville as a Seaman first class. He was en route to Asia when the U.S. dropped atomic bombs to end the war. Bill attended Harvard College after the war and was captain of both the football and basketball teams, graduating in 1950 with a degree in Political Science. He married the love of his life, Mary (Maureen) Healy in 1950. 67 years! Bill graduated from Harvard Business School in 1952 and began a distinguished career with Gulf Oil Corp. in Tulsa, OK. He later moved to corporate headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA, and retired as the Senior Executive Vice President at Gulf Oil Corp. He was the Chairman of the Port Authority of Allegheny County and was a board member of Project Hope. Bill is survived by sons, William, Jr. and Michael; daughter, Eileen; grandchildren, Allison, Erin, Kevin; and four great- grandchildren, Daniel Gonzalez, Avery Gonzalez, Jacob Glanzmann, and Neila Jane Henry; brother of Neil of Mendham, NJ; and preceded in death by his sister, Jane Albert. Bill had many hobbies and interests, including golf, tennis, bridge, poker, competitive shooting, hunting, music, cars, and a good party, but his favorite activity was spending time with his family.
