MEGA HELENE JOANNE Helene J. Mega, affectionately known as "Aunt Honey" to family and friends, passed away quietly at Kane Hospital on April 13, 2016, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Helene enjoyed traveling and the arts, such as ceramics, theater, singing in her church choir. She also enjoyed teaching Sunday School. Helene was a longtime resident of Clairton where she was a member of Clairton AARP and the Red Hat Society. She is survived by her brother, Ronald (Donna) Mega; and nephews, Alex (Brenna) of Dallas, TX, Mark (Beth) of Chicago, IL, and Matthew. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Anne (Kapusta); and her brother, Robert. SRINIVASAGAM NARASIMMAN, M.D. It is with the deepest sadness that the family of Narasimman Srinivasagam M.D. (Vasagam) announces his peaceful passing on April 12, 2016, surrounded by his family in Tampa, Florida. His parents, Narasimha Naiker and Engammal, preceded him in his death. He is survived by his beloved Nancy; cherished children, Kamala (Kate) Vasagam, Nalini (David Turner) Vasagam, Rachel (Sean) McDonough and Shekar (Heather) Srinivasagam. But the real loves of his life were the grandchildren who gave him such pleasure, love and joy, Liam, Breanna and Dylan McDonough, Madeline and Jacqueline Perkins and Lucas and Lily Vasagam. He is also survived by his two special nieces in India, Revathy and Dhanalakshmi. Dr. Srinivasagam was a native of Kuruvikulam, India and immigrated to the United States in 1965 to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he was a respected physician for 47 years. Aside from his family and practice, his proudest accomplishment was being one of the founding members of the Sri Venkateswara Temple in Pittsburgh, PA, the first Hindu temple in North America. He will be missed by his friends, his colleagues and those he touched through his knowledge, generosity of spirit and kindness. His family's lives will never be the same without him. GOLINSKI DANIEL JOSEPH, Sr. Age 60 years old, of Gilmore, Cecil Township, died Saturday, April 9, 2016, in his home. He was born Friday, May 27, 1955, in Pittsburgh, son of Joseph Felix and Martha Brunton Golinski. He was a member and Treasurer of the Granish Club, Cecil, and member of the Polish Falcons in Carnegie. He worked as a supervisor for Puronics in Carnegie and enjoyed hunting. Surviving are sons, Edmund Golinski of Altoona, and Daniel J. Golinski, Jr. of Cecil; two brothers, Joseph J. (Marigene) Golinski of Canonsburg, and Daryl Golinski of Carnegie; and a sister, Cindy (Daniel) Brown of Carnegie. He was preceded in death by his parents; and stepmother, Patricia Cunningham Golinski who raised him, and a brother, Jeffrey Golinski. SCHLICK FATHER REGIS, O.F.M. Cap. Died on April 12, 2016, at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh. He was 84. Born in Wheeling, WV, to Joseph and Catherine (Lynch) on July 1, 1931, he was baptized at St. Alphonsus Church and given the name, Edward. He attended St. Mary Catholic Elementary School and Central Catholic, both in Wheeling. Father Regis was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Martin and Bernard; and his sisters, Dolores Travis and Virginia Nesbitt. He is survived by several nephews. After graduation from high school, Edward was employed as a textile purchaser until he joined the United States Army in 1952. He was honorably discharged two years later. He was a proud veteran and member of the American Legion. Shortly after military service, he entered St. Fidelis Seminary in Herman, PA. On July 13, 1958, he was invested with the Capuchin habit and took his religious name, Regis. One year later, he professed his first vows as a Capuchin friar. On July 14, 1962, he made his perpetual profession of vows. He was ordained to the priesthood on February 13, 1965, in the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC. Several months later, he completed his theological studies, after which he was assigned to the mission of Puerto Rico, where he labored for 31 years. Father Regis' first assignment was in Ponce, PR, at Santa Teresita Parish. In 1969, he was transferred to Adjuntas, where he served at San Joaquin Parish. He was the Guardian of the local community of friars for three years, and in 1975 he was elected to the leadership council of the Puerto Rico Vice-Province of Capuchin friars. In 1978, Father Regis was assigned to Rio Piedras, PR, and San Antonio Parish, where he served in numerous capacities for the next 18 years. From 1978 until 1984, he was parochial vicar of the parish, followed by a term as pastor until 1993. He was also spiritual assistant to the Order of Secular Franciscans, chaplain for San Antonio School, as well as chaplain to the Barrio Buen Consejo Chapel and Leopold Figuero Residence. In 1996, he left Puerto Rico and took a sabbatical at St. Ambrose Parish in Cresaptown, MD. A year later Father Regis was named pastor of two parishes in West Virginia: Sacred Heart Church in Point Pleasant and St. Joseph Church in Mason. He remained at that post until 2008, when declining health led to his retirement. In June 2008, he took up residence at St. Augustine Friary in Pittsburgh, PA. He served as confessor for the Sisters of St. Francis at Mt. Alvernia in Millvale and celebrated the Sunday Mass at Vincentian De Marillac Nursing Home in Pittsburgh. Father Regis will be remembered for his affectionate, personal and pastoral style, love of West Virginia and Puerto Rico, and pride in his military service. He became a resident of Vincentian Home in Pittsburgh in March 2016. Father Regis was admitted to UPMC Shadyside on April 11, 2016, where he passed away the following day. His body will be received at St. Augustine Friary, 221 36th Street, on Friday, April 15, 2016, with visitation in the chapel from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The wake will be at 8 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 225 37th Street, on Saturday, April 16, 2016, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the Friars' Plot of Mt. LUNIEWSKI HELEN Age 85, of Frederick, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, died Thursday, March 31, 2016. She was the wife of the late Alphonse Luniewski, who preceded her in death in 1983. Born February 7, 1931, in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Catherine (Jarzec) Ruszkowski. Helen is survived by her children, Allen Luniewski and wife, Patsy, Thomas Luniewski and wife, Susan and Cheryl Grese and husband, Sam; and grandchildren, Catherine Luniewski, Melissa Grese and Allison Grese. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Joseph, Robert, Edward, Richard, John, Sophie, Nellie, Anne and Mary. MORRIS RONALD S. Age 81, of Oakmont, passed away at his residence on Monday, April 11, 2016. Husband for 48 years of Elaine (Wallace) Morris; loving father of Douglas Morris, Mary (Jeffrey) Bronner, Kate Morris, Henry (Kristen) Morris and Jane Morris, MD (Meg MacDougal); grandfather of Elizabeth and Anna Morris, Stella and Lola Wallace, Kayli Morris, Saida Bronner, Cyrus and Avery Morris; brother of Judson (Kathy) Morris. After graduating The Kent School in 1953, and Graduating Yale University in 1957, Ronald proudly served our country with the United States Navy as a lieutenant JG from 1958-1961. His entire 30 year career was with US Steel. He was a member of the Oakmont Country Club since 1982. He loved sports and the people he played with. If the game had a ball, he played it with incredible energy and skill. He was particularly accomplished at tennis and played competitive golf and paddle tennis until 2016. He was passionate about oceanography and was a Master Scuba Diver exploring the seven seas. His shell collection is in Carnegie Museum of Natural History. He and Elaine were world travelers. He lived life with enthusiasm and courage loving his family, walking his dogs through beautiful forests, planting trees and creating habitats for the birds. He was a naturalist at heart. He was the brother of William Neely, James Neely, John Neely and Robert Neely. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Elizabeth (Betty Ann) Cook and Barbara Jean Dock. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Don was a graduate of North Catholic High School and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Wisconsin State University where he obtained a football scholarship. Donald was retired from the Oakland VA Medial Center where he was the director of voluntary services and also worked as PR administrative assistant to the director. He also worked at the Tampa, FL, Altoona, PA, Madison, WI and Dearborn, MI VA Medical Centers. Donald greatly enjoyed golfing, he also was a member of the Spring Garden Sportsman Club for many years.
