NEWMAN DIANE ELIZABETH (KEARNS) Diane Elizabeth Newman, 62 years old, left this earth May 15, 2016. She was in the hospital for ten weeks and four weeks at the home to continue to heal. She passed at home of respiratory failure. Diane was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Evelyn Wozny and (deceased) Robert Kearns, June 6, 1953. David H. Newman and Diane met in Sunday school and were married in the Los Angeles Temple, July 11, 1980, and enjoyed 36 years together. They lived in Azusa, California, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, San Antonio, Texas and Layton, Utah. Diane was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Park West Ward, West Layton Stake. Diane worked at the Standard-Examiner for 17 years and enjoyed working in the Digital, Ad Graphic and Advertising Departments through the years. One of her great loves was reading and playing games on her tablet. She also enjoyed doing crafts. She is survived by her husband, David; children, Christopher David Newman, Layton, Jeffrey Alan Newman, Roy and his stepson, Brian Howell Newman, Kansas. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 21, 2016, at 11 a.m. at LINDQUIST'S LAYTON MORTUARY, 1867 N. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment Lindquist's Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 N. Fairfield Road.
