KROBOTH HERMAN FRANCIS Age 86, of McMurray, peacefully passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Emily (Medved) Kroboth for 45 years; loving father of Robert (May) Kroboth of Colorado and Bradley (Susan) Kroboth of Bethel Park; caring stepfather of Wendy (Mike) Mildner of Scott Twp.; proud grandfather of Abby Mildner, and Corey and Jenna Kroboth; son of the late Herman and Pauline Kroboth; brother of Pauline Faessel; treasured cousin of John (Joanne) Kroboth of McMurray. Also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Herman was a proud graduate from Bethel Park High School, class of 1949 and the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1953. He honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a 1st Lieutenant, head of the Army division and Pay Master in Germany. Herman traveled extensively throughout Europe during his service. Herman then started his career at U.S. Steel Corporation, Irvin Works where he received the title of Chief General Supervisor of Production Planning. At the age of 52, in 1984, Herman was able to retire from U.S. Steel. After retirement, he continued with U.S. Steel, U.E.C. as a self-contractor, where he traveled to Brazil, Mexico, and Yugoslavia. Later in life, Herman was an ardent wine maker and enjoyed ?shing. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS. CHIODO SAMUEL J. Age 78, of Carnegie, PA, formerly of Mt. Lebanon, PA, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 9, 2018, following weeks of loving care by his family. Beloved husband of Charmin Campbell Chiodo; proud father of Carrie Vanistendael (Mark), Gina DeCola Bottone (David), Julie Vuillemot (Jay), Adele Beaves (Scott), and Emily Chiodo (Brent Wasko); grandfather of Eric and Olivia Vanistendael, Salvatore DeCola, Ryan, Leah and John Vuillemot, Travis, Lena and Ellie Beaves, and Desmond Wasko; brother of Marie Bellin (William); uncle of Elaine Bellin (Phyllis Coontz); also survived by two aunts; and Sam's ?rst wife, Kathie Ortolf Horn (mother of Carrie, Gina and Julie); preceded in death by parents, John and Antonietta Bonanno Chiodo; and nephew, Joseph A. Bellin. Sam (“Sonny” to his family) was an entrepreneur, business owner, highly successful salesman and true Pittsburgh native who loved cooking (especially soup), singing, the arts, the Pirates, gardening, old movies, and early jazz. Graduate of Mt. Kimberly is survived by her beloved husband of 22 years, David Kwolek; cherished mother of David (Jamie) Kwolek, Jacob Kwolek and Sydney Kwolek; adored Mimi of Reese Kwolek; loving daughter of Mary "Lee" Brula; sister of Kerri DeGennaro, Timothy Brula, Marian (George) Koller and her younger twin brother, Keith (Judy) Brula; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Brula. Kim will always be remembered as a kind hearted person with a vibrant personality. WECHSLER HELENE Age 91, died on Saturday, December 8, 2018. She was born in New York City on August 17, 1927 and is the daughter of the late Leo and Irene Barth Dreyfus. She was the wife of the late Dr. Harry L. Wechsler who died on June 17, 1996. Helene received her Bachelor of Science from New York University and worked as a buyer, at Lerner's Department Store in New York City . After marrying Harry and moving to McKeesport, her life was devoted to her beloved husband and her three children. She served on the board of directors of the Carnegie Library of McKeesport and was a member of Temple B'Nai Israel. She volunteered at the Bryn Mawr-Vassar Book Store. She is survived by children, Lynn (Glenn) Wechsler Kramer of Summit, NJ, Laura (Charles) Broff of Pittsburgh, Richard “Dick” (Carolyn) Wechsler of New York City; grandchildren, Doug (Rachel) Kramer, Alex Kramer, Stephanie (Alex) Broff Lince, Casey (Jeff) Broff Berg, Zachary Wechsler, Sam Wechsler, Emmett Wechsler, Elias Wechsler; great- grandchildren, Dylan Kramer, Greyson Kramer, Jane Lince, and Edward Berg.
