She went to be home with her beloved husband of 60 years, the late Edward Mackiewicz; cherished mother of Edward (De), Valerie (David) Sins, Paul (Mona) Carl, and Marian (Fred) Yeager; devoted grandmother of Jeffrey (Erin), Joshua, Eric, Adam (Cristy) Mackiewicz, Brandon Sins, Amanda (Matt) Mihalyi, Dale (Brandy) Carothers; great-granny of her little munchkins; sister of Helen Staniszewski. Preceded in death by her parents, George and Dora Maricic and her sisters, Kate Veresh and Barbara Stayduhar. Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Evelyn (Tom) Gillner of Upper Darby, PA; Joanne Freidhof of Aspinwall, PA; and Arlene (Dean) Patterson of Butler, PA; beloved grandmother of Michele (Bob) DiGiacomo, Lisa (Dave) Martinez, Katie (Jack) Stefanik, Heather Yukob (Richard), Tara Patterson and Emma Patterson; cherished "GG" of Grace and Olivia DiGiacomo, Maddisyn and Baby Martinez, Evan and Ella Stefanik, and Ava Burnette; her brother, Paul (Joan) Stephenson of California; and several nieces and nephews, also survive. SANTORO ADELINE (VITOLO) "VICKI" Just shy of her 100th birthday, died peacefully on September 17, 2018, after a short incapacitation. Vicki was a graduate of Jeannette High School in 1936 and earned her RN certification from St. Francis Hospital in Pittsburgh PA in 1939. She joined the Army Nurse Corps as a Second Lieutenant, stationed at Fort Story in Virginia Beach, Letterman General Hospital in San Francisco, and Quarry Heights in the Panama Canal Zone where she met and married her husband Vincent. After raising her four children, she practiced nursing in Alexandria VA, until her retirement at the age of 70. Always active and interested in helping the less fortunate, Vicki engaged in many charitable endeavors, including volunteering her nursing skills at the 1968 Resurrection City in Washington, D.C., and in the Emergency Room of Inova Alexandria Hospital, also working at the Carpenter's Shelter for the Homeless and as an active volunteer for ALIVE (Alexandrians InVolved Ecumenically) for many years. She was always involved with her children's activities as a den mother and girl scout leader, even taking all four children to Summer camp while her husband studied for the Bar exam!  Never having a drivers' license, Vicki walked everywhere, including to and from Mass and work daily. Vicki loved to dance and so she organized and taught a line-dancing class through Blessed Sacrament Church, which she continued to teach through the age of 94. Vicki's story is highlighted in the Women in Military Service for America Memorial in Washington, D.C. Vicki was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent H. Santoro, and is survived by her four children, Alfred P. Santoro of Redmond OR, Patricia Diulus-Myers of Pittsburgh PA, Jacqueline R. Santoro of San Luis Obispo CA, and Vincent H. Santoro, Jr. of Nashville TN; five adoring grandchildren, Gina Santoro McKenna, Kristen Diulus Campbell, Vincent Santoro, Lauren Diulus Scheuring, and Joseph Santoro; twelve loving greatgrandchildren and one greatgreat-grandchild. She also is survived by her brother, Paul Vitolo of Jeannette PA, and was also predeceased by her sisters, Louise Petrini and Annie Vitolo; and brother, Lazarus Vitolo, all of Jeannette PA. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 29, 2018, in the Ascension Church in Jeannette, followed by services at Blessed Sacrament Church in Alexandria VA with military honors and burial in Arlington National Cemetery. He was the son of the late Angelo and Mary (Dorazio) Sebastian; he is survived by his beloved wife, Dolores (Kovacs) Sebastian; brother, John (Mary Lou) Sebastian of McCandless; and many nieces and nephews. Carmine was a retired school teacher for the city of Pittsburgh, transportation director, and vice principal. He was a member of Queen of the Rosary Parish, was a graduate of California University and got his doctorate degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1963. SCOTT ELLEN HUNTER Of Forest Hills and Boothbay Harbor, Maine, peacefully at home on September 23, 2018 from the consequences of brain cancer and multiple sclerosis. Born in Wellesley, MA, on October 22, 1947, she was the first of four children of Walter H. Scott, now of Boothbay Harbor Maine, and the late Virginia Perry Scott. She is survived by her three siblings, Martha Scott Morache of Encinitas, CA, Robert Perry Scott of Lowell, MA, and David Walter Scott of Carlsbad, CA; her dear niece and nephew, Sarah Ellen Morache, and Andrew Walter Scott; and numerous cousins and countless friends. She had been married in Pittsburgh to Richard Narvin and James Muth. Ellen graduated from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in 1970 with a BA in Psychology and from the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health in 1985 with an MHA in Health Administration. Ellen was a cherished member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Wilkinsburg where she served on the Vestry as Treasurer and tutored in the after school Children's Outreach program. She served as a peer counselor for the MS society support group, and was an original member of the long-lasting Bookwomen book group. A memorial service will be held at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 600 Pitt St., Wilkinsburg, PA 15221, on Saturday, September 29, at 2 p.m., Reverend Nancy Chalfant-Walker officiating.
