GRUDEN JOSHUA AARON Age 43, of Mt. Lebanon, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 14, 2018. Beloved son of Francis and Patti (Roesch) Gruden of Mt. Lebanon. Devoted and loving father (aka Daboo) of Storey Elizabeth Gruden. Brother of Francis Gruden IV. Fiancé of Karina M. Casale. Grandson of Frank Gruden and the late Elizabeth “Bettie” Gruden, Arveda and Elmer Roesch. Nephew of Kevin Gruden, Patrick (Gina) Gruden, Bill (Paula) Roesch, Luann Roesch (Larry) Steffy, Barbara (Ron) Forsman. He also leaves behind many relatives in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. Josh was a 1993 graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School where he played football, basketball and soccer. He attended West Virginia University and was a member of the 1993 Sugar Bowl Team. Josh loved his family and friends, was an avid fitness enthusiast and enjoyed music and concerts particularly Widespread Panic and Phish. Josh was well respected in the service industry for many years before moving on to his true passion of personal training and managing fitness clubs. Friends and relatives are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, June 23, 2018, 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Joy Catholic Parish, 2000 O'Block Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15239. GOMRICK MARGARET C. "PEG" Age 87, of Monroeville, died peacefully on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, surrounded by her family. Peg is survived by her children, Patricia, Daniel (Beth), Mary (Mark), Thomas (Denise), Kathleen (David), Carol (Brett), and Christine (Christopher); eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Peg is also survived by her four sisters, Marcy (Kenneth), Jean (William), Cecilia (James) and Rosemary, and one brother, Michael. Preceding her in death was her loving husband of 62 years, Dan; her granddaughter Erin, and her brother William (Elsie). Peg was born in Braddock and Valedictorian of her class at Rankin High School. She ended her long and varied career working at the University of Pittsburgh in the Grants Department while remaining always involved in the community. Peg was Secretary of the Monroeville Historical Society for many years and served on the Parish Council at North American Martyrs. Peg and Dan traveled the world but, kept their roots firmly planted in Pittsburgh. Together they blessed their children with love, laughter, a strong work ethic and beautiful memories. Brother of Kevin (and the late Kathy) Langer, Sharon (Russell) Lewis, Renee (Gary) Hertzler, Diane (Michael) Hartnett. Also survived by 10 nieces and nephews and 1 great-niece and 1 great-nephew. Bill was a 1988 graduate of North Hills High School where he played on the JV and Varsity football teams. He loved to ride his Harley, scuba dive and snowmobiling. He enjoyed traveling and time spent with his family and friends. MURIN LAWRENCE GEORGE Age 80, of South Park Township, formerly of McKeesport, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, June 18, 2018. Loving husband of 56 years to Margaret; father of Sheila (Tony) Fant, Laura (Bruce) McCurry, and Suzanne (Thomas) George; doting grandfather of Luke (Sarah) McCurry, Patrick Fant, Grace McCurry, and Mary Fant; step-grandfather of James (Laura) Fant, Glen (Anne-Marie) Fant, John George, and Elizabeth George; great-grandfather of Harley Fant and Jamie Fant; son of the late Michael and Sophie Murin. Lawrence served in the Army National Guard and will be buried with full military honors. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 712, and an honorary member of the Riders. He was also a member of Anthony Arms, Clairton and the Millvale sportsman clubs. He was a 1955 McKeesport High School graduate, retired from Westinghouse with 42 years of service, and was a past president of Optimist International.  Family and friends will be received on Friday, June 22, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh 15236. SNIDER DOROTHY I. Peacefully entered into God's hands at age 90, on Tuesday evening June 19, 2018. A lifelong resident of Mount Lebanon, the cherished only child of the late Norman L. and Blanche (Hein) Snider. Dorothy was a proud and active member of the Mount Lebanon Evangelical Presbyterian Church as a Deacon, a dedicated children's Sunday school teacher and volunteer. She worked as an administrative assistant at Gulf Oil. Dorothy enjoyed her bridge club, sewing, and trips overseas with her friends. At her request, there will be no visitation. Wife of 49 years to the late Paul Byron Collins; beloved mother of Elizabeth (Peter) Agnew, Paul B. Collins Jr., Peter (Carol) Collins, Jane Collins, foster son Robert Pattinato and the late Mary Bridget Klemmer; dear grandmother of Jane, Brady, Molly, Samuel and Grant; great-grandmother of Mackenzie, Marley, Zoe and Liam; sister of David (Carol) and the late James (surviving wife Jan) and Charles (Joann) Hogan; also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Pat was an ardent member of the Pro Life movement and was dedicated to the belief that life is precious from conception to natural death. Pat was a member of St. Philip Church in Crafton and was honored to act as a Eucharistic minister, providing communion to shut-ins, a lector, and vice president of the church council. Upon moving to Mt. Lebanon she embraced St. Anne's Church. As a Crafton resident she served as vice president of the democratic party, judge of elections, and secretary of Crafton Celebrates. She treasured her friends old and new, especially Marge Reilly who was a great companion. She was grateful for the support of her children, and for Jane with whom she lived and received loving care. Most of all, it was her husband, Byron, whose love and support made her life one filled with happiness. They both enjoyed his retirement - venturing into the great wide open. LIENHARDT PAUL M.H. 1932-2018 Of Upper St. Clair, peacefully passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Jane Lienhardt for 60 years; Loving father of Scott (Phyllis) Lienhardt and Amy (Chris) Farrar; proud grandfather of Kate Farrar, Mark and Shawn Lienhardt; caring son of the late Max Cornelius Lienhardt and Gladys Margarethe. He graduated from Lehigh University with a BA in Accounting and became a CPA. Paul worked at Joy Manufacturing Company in Pittsburgh and Price Waterhouse Coopers in New York City as well as AMP in Harrisburg. He was the past President and Treasurer in the Swiss American Society of Pittsburgh. SCHROTH-WHITNEY EMMA KATHARINE Passed on April 7, 2018, in Baton Rouge. Born in Pgh. on March 3, 1968, raised in Baton Rouge. She was a brilliant, loving, and giving woman. Graduate of Oberlin College, Columbia University and University of Pittsburgh with an M.L.S. She dedicated her life to helping others with disabilites; and to pets. Survived by her husband, Christopher (K.C.) Whitney; her mother, Margaret Boal Schroth; her dear sister, Johanna Schroth; and brother, Edward Schroth (Andrea); and her aunt, Helen Boal (Raymond) Strugulewski; uncles, Erwin (Pete) Boal and Robert Boal; and many other relatives and friends who knew and loved her. Preceded in death by her father, Richard (Dick) Schroth; and beloved grandparents, Mae and Clare and Dr. Erwin S. Boal and Vivian Boal. WOMSLEY J. HOWARD Died Wednesday, June 20, 2018, three days shy of his 83rd birthday. He is survived by his wife, Kay, of 55 years; daughters, Linda Womsley, Sharon Short (Alfred), and Carol Womsley; and two grandchildren, Gabrielle Short and George Short. Howard was committed to a life of leadership and service to his community. He graduated West View High School, Dickinson College, and Dickinson School of Law where he was a member of the Law Review. He served the North Hills Jaycees as a member, past president, and JCI Senator. Elected to the McCandless Town Council in 1975, he served 12 years as a councilman before becoming the Town Attorney for 20 years. His love for his college fraternity, Phi Delta Theta, inspired him to become a Province President where for many years he served the national fraternity. Howard was also a member and elder at Northmont Presbyterian Church. Family, reading, televised sports, bowling, and golf were his favorite pastimes. MESZAROS RICHARD ANDREW Age 81, of Jefferson Hills, PA and North Port, FL, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 20, 2018. Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, JoAnn; a daughter, Vicki (Bob) Schutz, and son, Michael Meszaros, both of Florida. He was preceded in death by his sons, Richard and Drew, and a twin brother, Ronald. He is also survived by two stepchildren, Gina (Ken ZIegler) Shea and Adam (Kim) Giannamore; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Also, survived by two sisters, Theresa Rusnak, and Ann Louise Dugan; and a brother, Andrew (Juney) Meszaros. Rich, an avid golfer, was an amazing husband, father and PapPap who loved his family more than words could ever express. He will be deeply missed by everyone whoever met him.
