VALES ROBERT RAYMOND BOBBY Age 73, of Crafton, went home to be with the Lord, on Sunday, January 21, 2018, in Orlando, Florida. Born on July 1, 1944, Robert spent most of his life in Pittsburgh and the last four years in Jupiter, Florida. Robert was proud to have been the owner of the former La Fleur B&B in Crafton, honored to be a retired City of Pittsburgh firefighter of Engine Company 32, and pleased to have been a licensed Pennsylvania commercial real estate broker for nearly 40 years. Robert is survived by his wife of 47 years, Audrey Mae (Lippai) Vales. Beloved father of Robert Alexander (Denise) Vales and Shara (Nicholas) Mader; cherished grandfather of Justin, Brianna, Jaden, and Julianna; brother of Dr. William (Charlene) Vales and James Vales of California; brother-in-law of Richard (Nancy) Lippai. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. MOLINARO MARION A. (LINN) On January 27, 2018, our family bid farewell to its matriarch, Marion A. (Linn) Molinaro, age 88, of Elizabeth Twp. Born in McKeesport on September 28, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Adelaide (Flaherty) Linn. Marion graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing and retired from UPMC McKeesport where she worked as a Registered Nurse for 40 years. She and her late husband of 60 years, Anthony J. Sonny Molinaro, were owners of Glassport Lanes Bowling Alley and together they operated it for 43 years. In addition, Marion was a past member of the Christian Mothers Society at the former St. Dennis Parish and was a Head Start Registered Nurse for Elizabeth Forward School District. Marion is survived by her children, Linn (Robert) Hodges of Marietta, GA, Denise (Lee) Smith of Mt. Vernon, Jill Molinaro of Trafford, Judy (Tom) Murtha of Mt. Vernon, Anthony A.J. He retired after a long career with the Industrial Appraisal Co. as an Architectural and Industrial Appraiser. Prior to his career as an Appraiser, he proudly served in the US Air Force during the Korean conflict. Keeping busy he also held several other positions after his retirement. Beloved husband of Lois (Kampmeier); also survived by sons, David (Colleen) and Mark (Maureen); brother, Richard (Helen); sisters, Janet and Sandra (James); also 17 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Wilbur; a sister, Bessie; and brothers-in-law, Jack, Paul and Robert. KOMPARDO HELEN L. Age 75 of Portage, passed away on January 26, 2018, at Maple Winds Nursing Care Center in Portage. She was born on August 5, 1942, in Johnstown. She was the daughter of Charles J., Sr. and Helen C. (Saranetz) Kompardo. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Charles, Jr., Joseph and Anthony; and a sister, Rosemarie. She is survived by her sister, Agnes Kompardo of Portage. Helen was a graduate of Mount Aloysius Jr. College in Cresson and she attended St. Francis University in Loretto. She was a lay teacher for St. Benedict's in Johnstown and she served as a lay teacher for over 35 years for the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh. Helen was a volunteer at the Portage Area Historical Society and the Portage Area Senior Center. She enjoyed crocheting, word finds, singing along to oldies music on the radio and singing with her friends with the Portage Area Senior Center at nursing homes. At Helen's request, there will be no viewing and/or visitation. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Portage, Fr. Andrew Draper, Celebrant. Committal will be private to the family. Kitty was raised in McKees Rocks, leaving to work in Washington DC during WWII. She then worked for many years in Pittsburgh as office manager of Local 590 Amalgamated Meat Cutters Union. After retiring, she realized her dream to travel abroad, including trips to Ireland and Italy. Kitty also took classes at the Univ. of Pittsburgh and was a volunteer tutor to college students. For over 40 years, she was a season ticket holder and avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan. Kitty was a member of St. Bernadette's Parish, Monroeville. DAW DAVID LEE, Jr. Age 75, a Moon Township resident since 1968, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018, surrounded by the love and presence of his family at Heritage Valley Beaver. Born in Braddock on March 2, 1942, he was one of three to Josephine (Battistella) Daw of Level Green and the late David Lee Daw, Sr. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Marie Kemerer Daw. They have two devoted children, Leah Perkins and husband, Jeffrey and Justin Daw, both of Moon Township; three cherished grandchildren, Adia Perkins, Luca Garzone and Macen Perkins; one sister, AnnaLee Mitsch of Level Green. He was also predeceased by his brother, Richard Daw. David, a graduate of St. Anselm High School, class of 1961, had a long sales career in Logistics and was a member of the Pittsburgh Transportation Association. He was most proud of coaching youth soccer which he loved. His other hobbies included Going Home Greyhounds (a greyhound rescue group), was an avid golfer, a wine enthusiast, and had played high school basketball. David was also an Army Reservist and a member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish. GREER DOROTHY J. Age 75, of Parker Pike, Parker, Allegheny Twp., Butler County, and Port St. Lucie, FL, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018, at her home. Dorothy was born in Pittsburgh on February 6, 1942. She was the daughter of the late Eugene C. and Sophie B. Lesniak Bromberg. She was a graduate of St. Augustine High School in Pittsburgh and had been a member of the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church. While in Florida, she was a member of the Red Hat Society and was on the board of directors of the Polish American Social Club. She enjoyed crafting and square dancing. Dorothy was a wildlife enthusiast and an advocate for the preservation and protection of America's owls and eagles. Dorothy is survived by her husband, Norman S. Greer, whom she married in Pittsburgh on January 27, 1962. Also surviving are three children, Lynn M. Korff and her husband, Richard, of Cabot, David M. Greer and his wife, Maggie, and Scott A. Greer, all of Gibsonia; four grandchildren, Katie, Becky, Dan, and Kenzie; two brothers, Eugene F. Bromberg and his wife, Carol, of Glenshaw and Robert Bromberg and his wife, Patty, of Pittsburgh; a sister, Barbara Girlardo and her husband, Kenneth, of Daytona, FL; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and friends.
