MOCHNICK JARROD T. Jarrod T. Mochnick was taken from our hearts suddenly on Friday, January 12, 2018, tragically in a car accident, resident of Robinson Township, age 25. Son of Kenneth Mochnick and Rebecca Mochnick; grandson of Thomas (Susan) Poppelreiter, Arnett Blackhurst and the late Frank and Katheryn Mochnick; nephew of Kathleen (Patrick) Downs, Pamela Biondi and Ruth (James) Keibler; longtime boyfriend of Kristina Anderson. BOEHM FREDERICK A. Age 85, of Pittsburgh, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, January 13, 2018. A devoted husband to Alice Ann for 60 years; and loving father of Eric (Gay), Greg (Chris, deceased), Thom (Tami), Lois Leonard (Mark), Gretchen Deitrick (David); he is also survived by his brother, Robert; also 14 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Fred was born October 23, 1932, and raised in Sheraden, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Mildred. Fred graduated from St. Vincent College in 1954 and from University of Pittsburgh in 1957. His professional life was varied and full. His career began as a solicitor for the City of Pittsburgh. He then joined and became partner in the law firm, Goehring, Rutter, and Boehm. Fred enjoyed many accomplishments while working for the city, as well as while practicing his specialty of zoning law. Though retired, Fred continued to work as an adjunct professor for the University of Pittsburgh School of Law until 2009. Fred enjoyed playing golf, volunteering at his parish of St. Margaret of Scotland in Green Tree, gardening, reading, and learning to cook in his later years, always at the ready for an accordion sing-along with family and friends. Fred found his true life's joy and blessings in being a husband, father, grandfather, and great- grandfather. KANDALA MARY ANN (CINDRICH) Of North Versailles, age 89, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018. Born October 2, 1928, to the late Dragica and Joseph Cindrich of Christy Park, McKeesport. Mary Ann was the beloved wife of the late Emil C. Kandala, who passed away on December 28, 1990; loving sister of Frank (Helen) Cindrich of North Versailles, Anne Pratt of Beaverton, OR, the late Matt (the late Alice) Cindrich, the late George (surviving spouse, Dolly) Cindrich and the late Rose Junecko; sister-in-law Mary Kandala of Trafford. Mary Ann is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her nephew, Daniel Cindrich. Mary Ann was a 1946 graduate of McKeesport High School and was a retired Assistant Buyer for the former G.C. Murphy Co. Home Office with 40 years of service. She was very active in her community, Mary Ann was a Trustee and member of C.F.U. Lodge #3 of McKeesport. She served many years as Inspector of Elections for Ward 4 in North Versailles and was a Trustee of the North Versailles Sr. Citizens Advisory Board. Mary Ann also was a member of North Versailles V.I.P. Travel Club She volunteered at the North Versailles Senior Center, with the Hilltoppers of East McKeesport and at the Turtle Creek Human Services Center. Mary Ann was an avid bowler at the New Great Valley Lanes. She also enjoyed reading, bingo, and cheering on the Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates. YEAGER RICHARD “DICK” L. Of Turtle Creek, age 89, died on Saturday, January 13, 2018. Dick was the beloved husband of Joan (Chruscial) Yeager for 67 years; loving father of Richard (Vicky) Yeager of Export, Jake (the late Renee) Yeager of North Braddock, Diane (Jeff) Sarver of Plum, Dennis (Bernice) Yeager of Export, Patty (Rich Schumm) Pepper of Niles, OH, the late Beverly Ann Yeager and the late infant Mary Yeager; cherished grandfather of 12 grandchildren and 18 great- grandchildren; brother of Tom Yeager of Level Green. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Cathernie Walter, William Yeager, Jr., Bridget Mihalic, James Yeager, and Louis Yeager. Dick was a self-employed contractor. He was proud of the many homes that he built in the Pittsburgh area. He had a love for sports, including being a devout Pirates fan and avid bowler. Dick was a skilled painter who enjoyed painting many outdoor and religious paintings. He worked as Tax Commissioner for the 12 railroads that serviced U.S. Steel until retiring in 1985. John, an avid golfer, was a former member of the Grandview Golf Club.
