BEISTEL DAVID F. Age 77, of North Lima, OH, formerly of Butler, PA, passed away peacefully, late Tuesday evening, Sept. 15, 2015, at Assumption Village in North Lima, OH. David was born July 24, 1938, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Clifford and Alice Price Beistel, and was a 1956 graduate of Turtle Creek High School. Mr. Beistel earned a Bachelor's degree in metallurgy from the University of Pittsburgh, and subsequently earned a Master's degree in human resources from Geneva College. He worked for Valley Mold and Iron, for Elkem Metals in Pittsburgh and in Marietta, OH, and he retired from Alexander Mill Services in Prospect, PA, in 1998. Dave was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was a gun collector, enjoyed hunting, was an avid fan of all Pittsburgh sports teams and enjoyed world travel. David's wife, Bette Anne Greenlee Beistel, whom he married Apr. 9, 1960, passed away Oct. 21, 2005. Mr. Beistel leaves three sons, Steve Beistel of Butler, Gary (Judy) Beistel of North Versailles, PA, and Dr. Andrew (Donna) Beistel of Canfield; eight grandchildren, Joshua, Alicia, Katie, John, Maggie, Daniel, Evan and Nicholas; a great-grandson, Temar; and a sister, Barbara Romney of Bend, OR. Daughter of the late James and Rose (DePalma) Rozell; beloved wife of the late Alexander "Pups" Helkowsky; loving mother of Rosemary (Kyran "Chuck") Mangold, Anita (Doug) Shontz of Kissimmee, FL, and the late Christina Helkowsky; adored grandmother of Kyra Mangold; sister of Ronald (Carmella) Rozell and the late Dominic (Rose), Mary (Augustine) Sirianni, John (Jenny), William (Beatrice), Frank (Lucille), Romaine (Henry) Stancik, Rose (Robert) Pikovsky, Daniel (Johnny-Faye), and Dolores "Pete" (Vernon) Ohler; she is also survived by generations of nieces and nephews. Louise was a past active member and Grand-Regent of the Catholic Daughters of America of St. John the Baptist Church, Scottdale, for four years. Since moving to Munhall to be with her only granddaughter, Louise was a devoted member of St. Therese Church and their Ladies Guild, a die-hard Steelers and Pirates fan, and worked for many years at the Foodland Deli on Main St. She loved to cook for her family and friends and took great pride in her Italian holiday cookies and knitted dishrags. She sends her love to her friends at St. Therese Plaza, especially to Dorothy and Betty, and thanks them for their love and laughter. John was the father of Jean Peterson (Jeff Prady), John J. Benkart (Darla McGee), Joanne (Keith) Kramar, Joyce Benkart (Gary Johnston), Charles (Suzi) Benkart and Catherine Benkart (Mike Cravener); grandfather of Jessica (Kevin) Criswell, Nicole Peterson (Scott Hartzell), Nathaniel Rothert (Maggie Williams), John A. Benkart (Carly McDonough) and Robert Benkart (Karlie Malone); brother of Barbara Salinetro (Buck Thoma); brother-in-law of Germaine Benkart and Lucky Price. Preceded in death by family members, Earl (Dorothy) Benkart, Raymond Benkart, Shirley (Edward) Brandl, Carol (Bill) Heyl and Kay Novosel. Also survived by many relatives and friends. John was a veteran of the US Army attaining Sergeant status and served in Korea. After discharge from the military, he went to work in the family business - J. Benkart & Sons Co. of Pittsburgh. John eventually became sole owner of the company and moved the business to Cranberry Township. Over the years, John along with some of the children grew the business to be known nationwide as Benkart Rigging. EHRSAM ALBERT ANDREW Born on August 17, 1927, in Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on September 14, 2015, in Schertz, TX, at the age of 88. He was a United States Marine, having served during World War II. Albert graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Banking and worked as an Assistant Vice President of Pittsburgh National Bank (PNB). He was employed by PNB for more than 40 years. Albert was one of the founders and President of the Chartiers Township Volunteer Fire Department in Houston, PA. He served as President of Donora, PA Rotary Club and the Canonsburg, PA Kiwanis Club; he also was an officer of Middle Mongahlea Industrial Development Corporation. Albert was an active member of numerous organizations including the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rights of Syria Temple, the Arab Patrol Freemasonry Northern Masonic of the Jurisdiction U.S.A. Valley of Pittsburgh, PA, the Garden Ridge Republican Club and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. He was an avid sports fan. He especially loved football. His favorite college football team was the University of Pittsburgh and recently because of his grandsons Texas Tech University and the NFL Pittsburgh Steelers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Wilhelmina Ehrsam; son, Keith Andrew Ehrsam. Albert is survived by his loving wife, Lillian Ehrsam; daughters, Carol Ehrsam-Niemann with husband, Bobby M.D., Patricia Ehrsam-McCabe with husband, Michael, Sr.; grandchildren, Patrick and Caitlyn Marie Szymkowiak, Hugh, Michael, Jr., Joseph and Matthew McCabe; great-grandchild, Ariana Szymkowiak; cousins, Marlene Proudly-Burt, Eric Gradl, Lori Woelfel, Reinhold Schramm, Charles Sitzenkopf (deceased) with daughter, Maryan Ramey.
