AIELLO RICHARD C. “RICH” Age 65, of Hopewell Twp., passed away peacefully in his home, in the arms of his wife, and surrounded by his loving family, Friday, September 11, 2015, following a lengthy illness. Born June 1, 1950, in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late Dr. Philip G. and Mary Helen (Geither) Aiello. Rich retired as the service director from Falconi Motors in Moon Twp., and was a WPIAL High School basketball official and college basketball official. He was Catholic by faith and was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Donna L. (Jarovich) Aiello; a brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Susan Aiello; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Fern Aiello, Jim and Paula Fiorucci, Michael Jarovich and family, and Sam Jarovich; his beloved nieces and nephews, Eryn Aiello, Brandt Aiello, Mark Harmon, Valerie McKee, Erin, Elijah and Olivia Jarovich; and his cherished godson, Michael Augustan Green. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Philip Aiello. PHILSON DOROTHY MAGEE Age 93, a resident of Asbury Heights, died on September 6, 2015, at St. Clair Hospital, following a brief illness. She was born on December 6, 1921, in Ellwood City, PA to the late Thomas Balph and Edna Parkinson Magee. She is survived by her brother, Dr. Donald A. Magee, of Ellwood City; her children, Randy Philson (Tim) Young, of Collier Township, Curtis (Kathy) Philson, of Mt. Lebanon, and Sally Philson (Mark) Martini, of Alpharetta, GA; grandchildren, Emily Philson Lansbery, Kayte Philson Natter, Laura Philson, Croix and Nicolas Martini; and great-grandchildren, Lilly Philson, Kristoffer Lansbery and Kaeli Jo Natter. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy; and her sister, Margaret "Peggy" Magee Craig. Memorial contributions may be made in Dorothy's name to Bower Hill Community Church. BOROCHOVITZ DENNIS, MD Died in Pittsburgh after a long battle with brain cancer on August 30, 2015, and was buried in Jerusalem September 1, 2015. Arrangements were by the GESHER HACHAIM JEWISH BURIAL SOCIETY. He was born in Brakpan, South Africa, to Israel and Sarah Berolsky Borochovitz, on February 3, 1944. Conversant in Afrikaans, English, Hebrew, Yiddish. He graduated from University of Witwatersrand Medical School in 1966 and completed a fellowship in pathology in 1971. Following immigration to the United States, he served as a resident at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. He joined the staff of Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh, in the late 1970s as a specialist in kidney pathology and authored or co-authored numerous papers on clinical pathology. He was also an effective professor of clinical pathology at University of Pittsburgh Medical School. Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, hired him as Chairman of Laboratory Medicine c. 1995 until his retirement in 2012. Dennis is remembered as a warm, brilliant, family man whose second career choice was “stand-up comedian.” His favorite hobbies were swimming, investing, and current events. He was a longstanding member of the Jewish Community Center, Squirrel Hill, and attended Poale Zedek synagogue there. He was an active member of the Squirrel Hill Jewish community. He is survived by his three sisters, Linda Dirmiek (Sidney), Verna Fish (Allan), and Norma Alperstein (Raymon); seven nieces and nephews; his partner, Louise Lippincott and her son, Philip (Ashley) McGuire; and his four children, Raelene Joran (Abba David), Ilana Radami (Eyal), Shaul Borochovitz (Ilka), and Deborah Gerzsberg (Kenneth); and 17 grandchildren whom he adored. He was compassionate and never hesitated to help those less fortunate. He will forever be remembered for his devotion, love and support to his beloved family. Send condolences post-gazette.com/gb

(Charlene) Acciaroli, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth (Patrick) Buratti; grandmother of Major Michele L. Buratti, US Army, Dena Marie (fiancé Mark) White, John Paul Acciaroli, Jr., Kellie Coriston and Michael Coriston; great-grandmother of Ellese M., Gabriella N., Sophia B., Teresa “Tessa” M., Abby Lee, Jessica and Justin; sister of Sara Whalen and the late Anthony Brunotts, Eugene, John and Josephine Brunozzi and Elizabeth Schnaubelt. Theresa had an illustrious career spanning 55 years as an esthetician. She started at Elizabeth Arden Salon in Kaufmann's in downtown Pittsburgh. Later she opened a facial department in Beti Weitzner Salon in the Carlton House Hotel. There she attended to many local and international celebrities, where she befriended most notably, Phyllis Diller, Jeanie Martin, and Mrs. Alan Alda, whom she had for one Easter Sunday dinner, with her husband, Alan. She then retired at the age of 68, deciding a few years later to open her own business in Shadyside, Salon diGiorgi and later Christian Studio in downtown Pittsburgh. Theresa was a woman of great faith and love of family. She surrounded herself with family, friends and beautiful flower gardens. She was proud of her contribution to the war effort by working on the LST's for Dravo on Neville Island during WWII.
