GIBBON HILDA “DOLLY” HUNGER Passed away on June 11, 2017, at the age of 91. She was born on October 13, 1925. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 70 years, Joel R. Gibbon. She is survived by one sister, Dorothy H. Obringer- Gray (late Wilbert Obringer), and (late John Gray). Dolly is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins and both grand and great-nephews and nieces. She was under much loving care, by her cousin, James P. Fink for several years. Dolly was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Hildegarde (Krieger) Hunger; her sister, Emma H. Novak (late Joseph), and her sister, Marie H. Sepede (late Henry). Dolly will be remembered by family and friends for her love of doing ceramics, gambling for fun, shopping, and traveling to New York City for theater events. Above all, her most cherished times were with Joel on many cruises they made together over several years. Dolly worked for over 30 years as an office manager for an insurance firm. She will also be remembered for her generosity in life and her gold heart in reaching out to those in need. She was at Joel's side throughout their entire life together and was his strongest support. She was a caretaker of her mother-in-law, her mother and several aunts over most of her life. Dolly had a distinct trait for always sharing her view on most topics and it added much humor to many lives. She will be missed by those who knew her over her long life. CLAYTOR JAMES B. “MOOSE” Age 88, of Neville Island, a true man's man with a gentle soul, loved his family, was larger than life, and just fun to be around. He passed surrounded by the love of his family, on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at his home. He was born on June 15, 1928, in Coraopolis, the only child to the late Duncan and Thelma (Angelo) Weaver. In 1953, he married the love of his life, Lorraine (Nagel) Claytor who passed on December 24, 1998. They had three beloved children: Karen Farago (Samuel), Mark Claytor (Denise), all of Coraopolis and James Claytor (Mary) with whom he made his home on Neville Island; also survived by five cherished grandchildren. Later in life, Moose was blessed to meet Donna Park, with whom he shared many of the same interests. Moose was a 1945 graduate of Coraopolis High School. He proudly served in the United States Army as a Sergeant First Class during the Korean War, was a Past Commander and member of VFW Post 402. He had been a shop foreman for Dally Engineering. Moose was memorable, dynamic personality and had a smile and eyes that lit up a room. Friends and people were drawn to him, making him the life of the party. He loved ballroom dancing even in his eighties. He went vacationing every year, mostly to Aruba living there for four months at a time. He was privileged to meet the President of Aruba who recognized him with his ten years vacation time (now at least 15 years). He was musically inclined, playing the organ and passing his music ability to his daughter and son. RITZ HELEN (LUCHIK) Age 93, of Greenville, SC, formerly of Pgh., on Tuesday, June 6, 2017. Beloved wife of the late George J.; mother of Donald, Barry (Nancy) and Patricia Ritz; grandmother of Erin, Emily, Taryn and Tessa; daughter of the late John and Anna Luchik; sister of the late Mary, Michael, Anna and George Luchik and Julia Beshenich. Helen was a 1941 graduate with honors of David B. Oliver High School, where she wrote in her yearbook her life goal was “to travel around the world” and to meet “a tall, handsome gentleman with humor.” Helen was an early career woman working as a secretary for the Rahauser, VanderVoort and Royston Law Firm, and the president of Donohoe's Specialty Grocery Store. She met her tall, handsome, humorous husband, George Ritz on a blind date and was married in 1948. George's chemical engineering career realized Helen's dream of traveling around the world. From Pittsburgh they lived in St. Louis (MO), Little Rock (AR), St. Petersburg (FL), Boston (MA), The Hague, Holland, London, England, Cleveland (OH), Mexico City, Mexico and then retired to Greenville (SC). Pleasure trips included: Alaska, Australia, The Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, Europe, Greece, Hawaii, Jamaica, Tasmania, Turkey, and points throughout the US. Helen's most valued trip was to Radvan, in Carpathian Slovakia where she visited her Rusyn parents' homeland and extended family. Helen loved nature, dancing, poetry, collecting memorabilia of her family, travels and cultural events. She was a cherished daughter, sister, wife/ homemaker of 53 years, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Helen never forgot her roots; she was proud to be laid to rest in the Smoky City. BIANCO JOSEPH SALVATORE Joe, age 89, of Robinson Township, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, with his family at his side. Beloved husband of 57 years to Dolores (Fratangelo); dear father of Anna, John (Mary), Michael (Diane), Dolores Ann (Mark), and William (Sharon); grandfather of Nick (Rebecca), Justin (Laura), Joseph, William (Amber), Gabriel; and great-grandfather of Grace and Nico. Joe is also survived by his sisters, Rose Suter and Josephine Bonomo; and numerous nieces and nephews. Joe was lovingly cared for during his final years by Melanie, Nicole, Linda, Mary Ann, and Mary Beth. He was born on May 20, 1928, in Sheridan, of John and Anna Bianco. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia and brother, Mike. A graduate of Langley High School, he was a US Marine and a veteran of the Korean War. He was an active member of Holy Trinity Church, where he served as a lectern for many years. Prominent in the state and local Democrat Party, Joe served as a Robinson Township commissioner. He worked in the concrete industry, as a driver and dispatcher for Highway Products, in sales for Dravo Corporation and Beaver Valley Builder Supply, and retired as a consultant to Management Engineering Corporation. His legacy to his family was to work hard and play hard: but only in that order.
