LEWICKI DENNIS P. DENNY Age 74, of Bethel Park, passed away on May 9, 2017. He was the beloved husband of 46 years to Becky Lewicki; loving father of Kerry (Jeffrey) Glinski; proud grandfather of Allison and Kay Glinski; brother of the late Charles Junior (the late Florence Sis) and the late Richard (Nancy) Lewicki. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was a former steel worker, working for J&L Steel and LTV, before retiring from Allegheny County as a Contracts Coordinator in Health and Human Services. Denny enjoyed golfing, fishing, watching sports and spending time with his family. SATLER OLGA PENNY Age 88, of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2017, after a series of late life complications. She was born on April 17, 1929, to Martin and Elizabeth Wallo. She lived for over 80 of her 88 years within a 3.5 mile span from Powers Run Road to Presbyterian Senior Care in Oakmont, growing up in between the two in Harmarville. Penny was married to James Robert Satler, Sr. for 34 years and they had seven sons together. From her early 20's until she was 50 years old, she was a mother, homemaker, and wife. At 50, she entered the workforce as a receptionist for an ophthalmology practice at St. Margaret Hospital in Aspinwall and continued in that position until she retired 12 years later. She was a member of Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church since the late 1950's. Penny was a gentle soul who showed dignity and class throughout her life. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who was full of kindness and goodness and was always polite and caring to just about everyone who knew her. Left to remember her with love are her daughter-in-law, Sue Satler of Cheswick; and five living sons, Ed Satler and wife, Barb, of O'Hara Township, Sam Satler of Shaler, Jim Satler of O'Hara Township, Bill Satler and wife, Jen of McDonald, PA and Rev. Dan Satler and wife, Tawnya of Saltsburg, PA. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Shawn Satler, Michael Satler, Noah Satler, Katherine Satler, Caroline Satler, Ian Satler, Olivia Satler, and Isabel Satler. Penny was also looked at as a second mother to many of her sons' friends over the years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Elizabeth Wallo; her husband, James Robert Satler, Sr.; her two oldest sons, Mike Satler and Tom Satler; and all five of her older siblings, John, Mildred, Gus, Milan, and Anne. FRIEDEMAN DANIEL GREY Age 94, of Allison Park, PA, and Clearwater, FL, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 5, 2017. Born on May 1, 1923, he was the son of the late Marion and Herman Friedeman. He was the loving husband of Margaret "Peggy" for 69 years; cherished father of Daniel (Kathy) Friedeman, Larry (Beth) Friedeman and Kathy (Dick) Macurak; treasured grandfather of Rick, Kim, Lauren, Michael, Heather, and David; beloved great-grandfather of Kaylee, Patrick, Ryan, Henry, Ellie, and Elise. Daniel is survived by many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Dorothy (John) Kompare, Herman (Thelma) Friedeman, and Andrew (Dorothy) Friedeman. Daniel served in WW II from 1943 until 1945. As a medic in the U.S. Army, he served in the Eurpoean Theatre and was involved in the North Africa, Sicily, Italy, France, and Rhine Campaigns, receiving five bronze arrowheads. Daniel was an avid golfer, playing until the age of 91, and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He will be remembered for his sense of humor. Daniel will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
