Diana passed away peacefully at home on March 11, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Diana was the loving wife of almost 55 years to Joseph Mahon, Jr.; devoted mother of Colleen (Douglas) McKinney, Bonnie (Ronald) Fox and Joseph Mahon III; beloved grandmother of Allison, Kelly and Garrett McKinney, Andrew, Michael and Bethany Fox, Kaitlyn and Jennifer Mahon; sister of Janet Major. She was preceded in death by one brother, William Dankesreiter. Diana loved spending time with her family and will be fondly remembered as a wonderful listener and giver of advice by all who knew and loved her - friends and family alike. She loved tending to her garden, getting lost in a good book, and traveling with her sister, Janet and best friend, Geri. She and her husband attended Dorseyville Alliance Church. Celebrate Diana's life by taking joy and solace in the fact that she is enjoying her eternal life in her new home with her Heavenly Father. ULIZZI JAY T. Jay T. Ulizzi, Aliquippa, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017, at home after a noble battle with cancer. Jay was born November 25, 1959, to Frank Ulizzi and the late Margaret Beck Ulizzi. He was employed in the Information Technology Department for 18 years, at FedEx Services in Coraopolis. Surviving are his loving wife, Holly Ulizzi; his son, Dominic; and daughter, Angela; his stepsons, Lucas (Bethany) and Brandon Scarsella; his granddaughters, Giada Valentina and Avery Scarsella; and his faithful dog, Reese. Also surviving are his brothers, Mick, Vince, Dean and Jimmie; and sisters, Kathy, Sandi, Tammy and Annie. LANG JOANN (THOMPSON) Age 66, of Penn Hills, passed away peacefully after a long struggle with cancer on March 23, 2017. Joann moved to Oklahoma City, OK where she met and married Robert L. Harty in 1995. Joann worked for the Daily Oklahoman since 2005 and many other OK newspapers, as a sales representative. Joann is survived by her two sisters, Carole (Raymond) King, Deborah Coudriet; two brothers William and Thomas Thompson; along with many nieces and nephews. FATULA JOHN M. John M. Fatula, age 74, of McKees Rocks, PA, peacefully fell asleep in the Lord on March 27, 2017. Preceding him in death were his devoted father, Michael Nicholas Fatula, and his cherished sister and brother, Rita Barbara and James E. Fatula. He was the beloved son of Rita Hyzy Fatula of Braddock, PA; and treasured brother of Sr. Mary Ann Fatula, O.P., of Columbus, Ohio, William (Mary Jean) Fatula, and Michael A. (Barbara, d.) Fatula of Pittsburgh, Rita (Don) Moldovan of Indian Trail, NC, and David (Faustyna) Fatula of Steubenville, OH. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. John was the Lord's precious gift to us. He was deeply committed to his Byzantine Catholic and Carpatho-Rusyn heritage, and our family is indebted to him for his tireless work in researching and writing the family history. His deep Catholic faith, profound wisdom, gracious charity, and extraordinary peace of soul made him a blessing to all who knew him. Having earned Master's degrees in philosophy, theology, and social work, John completely dedicated his life to the Lord and to serving the Church. After committed service in VISTA and Charismatic Covenant communities in Seattle, Minneapolis, and Boston, John became Religious Education Coordinator of St. John of God Parish, serving the parish community with selfless devotion for the past 24 years. John dearly loved his work and the people of St. John of God. We are deeply grateful to Fr. STAUFF WILLIAM S. Age 89, went home to be with the Lord on March 26, 2017. Bill was born on July 22, 1927, the son of the late Ellen and John Stauff. He graduated from Mt. Lebanon High School in 1945 and then served two years in the Army (1945-1947). Bill graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1951. He was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. Bill wed his late wife, Janet Bartle in 1952 and they were married for 50 years. For 35 years he was employed by General Electric and retired in 1987. Bill was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. For seven years, he volunteered for the Meals on Wheels program. Bill is survived by his wife, Freddie; daughter, Sue (the late Peter) Miller; son, Robert (Patty) Stauff; grandchildren, Derek (Rachel) Hahn, Kurt (Jordan) Hahn, Allison (Harley) Doane, Megan (Steve) Bronder; five great-grandchildren; four stepchildren; and eight step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by siblings, Jack Stauff and Dorothy (Fred) Corey. WILLIAMS MURRAY WAYNE Age 93, of Waynesburg, PA, formerly of Bethel Park, passed away in his home Tuesday, March 28, 2017, with family members at his side. Mr. Williams was born on August 17, 1923, in Clearfield, Pennsylvania, a son of Sylvan K. and Genevieve Nelson Williams. Mr. Williams graduated from Clearfield High School in 1942. After a very brief session in New York University, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on February 13, 1942. Following his training at Camp Matthews, he was assigned as part of the occupation force in Nagasaki, Japan. Following his military service, Mr. Williams returned to Clearfield, PA, where he worked in the family business of Clearfield Furs. Mr. Williams opened a branch of Clearfield Furs in the Pittsburgh area. He retired as vice president from an active business life in 1977 and moved to the Waynesburg area that same year. Mr. Williams was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Waynesburg. He was a 67-year member of the Lions Club, earning the Milestone Chevron Award. He was a Lions Club Melvin Jones Fellow. He was also a member of the Bethel Park Masonic Lodge No. 761. Murray, a Marine Corps veteran, was a member of the Waynesburg Leathernecks where he played a leadership role in the Toys-for-Tots program. He enjoyed fishing trips in Canada, hunting in Alaska and listening to the harmonies of Barbershop Music. He liked his early morning coffee at Hardees and lunch time soup and pie at the Airport Restaurant with his local friends and Marine Corps Veterans. Mr. Williams placed an emphasis on his faith and the importance of community service. He will long be remembered for his sense of humor and his dedication to his family values. He was married to the love of his life, Laurine Schneck Williams, for 71 years. Mr. Williams, the last of his immediate family, is survived by his wife, Laurine Schneck Williams; and their four children, Debbie (Paul) Rudy of Cincinnati, OH, Denise (Atsunobu) Furuya of Batavia, OH, Diane (William) Lindley of Washington, PA and Kenneth (Maureen) Williams of Bethel Park, PA. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene, who died in 2015. MONAHAN LORRAINE Born June 14, 1933 in Miami, Florida, the daughter of Mayme Erlinger Monahan and Raymond Patrick Monahan. A talented singer, dancer, and actress from an early age, she also worked in Display Advertising at the Miami Herald, often serving as a model for ads and feature stories, when the newspaper was run by Jack and Jim Knight. Her first marriage, to William Lockert Balee, ended in divorce. Her three children, William Balee, Andrew Balee, and Susan Balee survive her and took care of her in her final illness at home. Her second husband, Donald R. Chinnery, also predeceased her. Together they owned and operated Chinnery Construction Company in Jacksonville, Florida, until Don became the County Engineer for Flagler County in the early 1980s and Lorraine served on the county zoning board. In 1996 they retired to Fernandina Beach, Florida, where Lorraine served as a docent for the Amelia Island Historic Museum and starred in plays at the Amelia Community Theatre. She loved playing cards and Scrabble, completing the New York Times crossword puzzle every morning, and especially adored having her grandchildren visit her for weeks in the summer time. Her brother and sister predeceased her, as did her daughter-in-law Maria C. Bezerra Balee, but she is survived by beloved grandchildren, Alexandra Balee Lundy, Mark Balee Lundy, Nicholas Bezerra Balee, and Isabel Bezerra Balee. She is also survived by a niece, Patricia Foster, of Deland, Florida. The family would like to thank Annette Samuels, LPN, for her indispensable help and deep compassion during our mother's last days. EBERT FLORENCE MARIE (VUNAK) Age 84, of Mt. Washington, died peacefully in her sleep, Sunday, March 26, 2017. She was born June 14, 1932, in Pittsburgh to George and Francesca (Devunic) Vunak. She is survived by her husband Harry; four daughters Elizabeth Bower (Guy) of Wichita, KS, Janet Bernhardt (Fred) of Beaufort, SC, Barbara Putman of Fayetteville, AR, and Margaret Robinson (Chaz) of Richmond, VA; one son, Harry Ebert; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Angela Ferrans. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, George; and sister Dorothy Maiden. Florence recently resided at Harbour Senior Living Memory Care after living 50 years with her husband Harry on Mt. Washington. She was the wife of the late Steve Galiyas; mother of Stephen Galiyas, Susan (James) Morgan, Daniel (Cynthia) Galiyas, Anita (Mike) Ostovich, Monica (Tim) Elko, Jane Galiyas, and Kenneth Galiyas; and sister of Elisabeth Mitaly and John Mitaly. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. THORNQUIST THOMAS NELSON Thomas Nelson Thornquist, born June 30, 1933, in Pennsylvania, passed away at age 83 on February 16, 2017, in Fort Myers, Florida. Tommy, a Kiwanian for 60 years, was a member of the Fort Myers Metro-McGregor Kiwanis club. He had a passion and commitment to Kiwanis like no other. Tommy never missed a weekly meeting or District Convention unless due to illness. He was a longtime Builders Club advisor. Tommy was a past member of the Fort Myers South Kiwanis Club and started in the K-Family in Pennsylvania. He was a George Hixon Fellow, Legion of Honor and Lifetime Kiwanis member. Before retirement, he worked as an accountant with Pittsburgh Steel. Outside of Kiwanis, Tommy loved model trains, baseball and his neighbors at Seven Lakes. He was a member of the Brentwood High School Alumni Association, Pleasant Hills Volunteer Fire Company (Life Member), Railroad Museum of South Florida, St. Hilary's Episcopal Church and National Railroad Historical Society. Brooklyn is also survived by her grandparents, Barbara Heck and William and Carolyn Koerbel; as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and supportive family friends who will miss her dearly.
