JOHN LOUIS PUSKARIC JULY 18,1939 - AUGUST 27, 2020 Age 81, passed away August 27, 2020 a gentleman and scholar. Married 28 years to Ann (Cibulas) Puskaric. Loving Uncle to five wonderful nieces and nephews, plus one energetic great-nephew. He served his country twice - first in the US Naval Reserve then two additional years when he was recalled to the US Army. John started his career selling mining engineering equipment in Kentucky and Tennessee. He then joined Mobay Chemical Company, retiring 33 years later from Bayer Corporation. John was known for his customer relationships, negotiation skills and talent for designing an engaging tradeshow booth at a moment's notice. While giving a tour of Bayer's CD lab to a group of Chem Tech students from Manchester Bidwell Training Center, John saw an opportunity to support this non-profit. He navigated the vision' by forming a collaborative team composed of Bayer Corporation, Sony, Mellon Bank and the Manchester Craftsman's Guild to create the MCG Jazz label with proceeds funding their Jazz Education Program. The label won a Grammy in its first year! John always said he was student' of wine, in fact he was a master. He knew every region, grape and vintage but continued to educate himself to keep up with changes in the industry. Whether dining out or entertaining at home, he often selected the wine first, then the menu. Everyone who knew John had a deep respect for his knowledge and gentle nature. Visitation Monday, August 31 from 2 7 p.m., COPELAND FUNERAL HOME, Sewickley PA. Mass of Christian burial St. Joseph Church, Coraopolis PA, on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Interment Holy Name Cemetery, West Mifflin PA.
