CHIEF ROBERT A. FULL "HOOVER" Former Chief of Allegheny County Emergency Services, resident of Pittsburgh, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 17, 2020, at the age of 65. Beloved husband of Geraldine (Dongweck) Full for 39 wonderful years. Loving father of Courtney (Richard II) Spicuzza and Robert Rob Full, both of Pittsburgh. Cherished grandfather of Ricky, Vincent, and Livia Spicuzza. Brother of Sharon (Michael) Morton. Son-in-law of Olive Dongweck. Brother-in-law of Eugene Dongweck. Dear family friend of Rebecca Mannella. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Bob began his lifelong career in emergency services as a Junior Firefighter for the Forest Hills Volunteer Fire Department, where he is a life-member. Beginning in 1975, Bob worked for the city of Pittsburgh as a paramedic where he was promoted to Assistant Chief. Bob served the role as President of the Pennsylvania Association of HazMat Technicians from 1997 to 1999 and was also a director of its Western Region. In 1998, he was promoted to the position of Allegheny County Fire Marshal, a position he proudly held until 2011. While serving the county as Fire Marshal, Bob strived to develop a centralized call center, which would receive all outgoing emergency phone calls placed throughout the county for needed fire, police, or paramedic requests. This began the early stages of what is now known as the Allegheny County Emergency Services Division, which houses the 911 dispatch center. He served as Chief for many years and assisted the division throughout its successful development. Bob served as the Assistant Director of Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency from the year 2011 to 2015. He then took a position at Specialized Professional Services, Inc. working as the Director of Safety and Special Projects, a position he held from 2015 until his recent retirement in June of 2020. CLARENCE MICHAEL NOVOTNY Age 95, of Monroeville, formerly of West Mifflin, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Harbour Senior Living in Monroeville, where he was a resident for the past eight years. Clarence was born November 10, 1924, in Braddock, PA, to Michael and Elizabeth (Handza) Novotny. He was the youngest of 10 children. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Mildred (Tomka) Novotny. Beloved father of Paul (Nancy) Novotny of Mohnton, PA and Amy (Greg) Imblum of Monroeville; cherished grandfather of Andrew and Matthew Imblum; and loving great-grandfather of Madelyn Imblum. Clarence was a lifelong member of Saint Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Braddock until its closing. During World War II, he served as a scout in Patton's 16th Armored Division that liberated the city of Pilsen, Czechoslovakia in 1945. He then served as the Slovak interpreter for his unit. He worked for Westinghouse Electric for over 45 years as a machinist. During the 1950's he was assigned to the Bettis Atomic Laboratories in West Mifflin, where he made components for the Nautilus Submarine program. Clarence was also a member of the Pleasant Hills Guthrie Masonic Lodge #509, where he served as past secretary. Due to the current health concerns, visitation and funeral service will be private. During WWII, Pat worked at Rockwell manufacturing making 50 and 25 mm shells for the war effort. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and made many lovely memories with them. Pat also enjoyed shopping, playing Bingo and an occasional bus trip to the casinos. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Alfred) Williams, of Newburgh, IN; sons, James (Barbara) Lorch, Jr. of Hickory, PA and Robert (Mary Lynne) Lorch, of Ohio Twp., PA. CAROL ANN (DOUGHERTY) LLOYD Age 75, of Pittsburgh, passed away on July 17, 2020. She was born to the late Edward and Betty Dougherty on January 28, 1945, in Hawthorne, Pennsylvania. Carol graduated from nursing school in Cleveland, Ohio. She was married to her loving husband, Evan Edward Lloyd for over 53 years. Carol is survived by her daughter, Alyssa (Steve) Lenzinger, daughter, Angela (Kevin) O'Donnell, and her son, Evan (Kelly). Carol found great joy in spending time with her nine grandchildren, Corinne, Nicholas and Christa Lenzinger, and Kaitlyn (Tyler) Theobald, Megan, Erin, Joseph, Gabrielle and Shannon O'Donnell. She is also survived by her siblings, Janice (Paul) Deak, Edward J. Dougherty, Cathy (David) Hogue, Bill Dougherty and many other family members. She had an inspirational devotion to her Catholic faith and was a Third Order Franciscan. She was a very active member of the Padre Pio prayer group and was a Spiritual Warrior that constantly fought to maintain the traditions and integrity of the Catholic church. She loved her family with all of her heart and always looked forward to time spent together. She was an excellent homemaker, avid crafter, belonged to the prayer shawl ministry, crocheted, knitted, and sewed. Carol had a persistent inner strength that guided her throughout the years. She had a compassionate presence and approachable personality that enabled her to make friends easily everywhere she went. Carol will be sadly missed by all. (Jim) Tatters of Columbia, MO, Mary Lynne (George) Leone of Wexford, William H. (Carol) of Evans City and Jean E. (Adam) Zak of Monroeville. Regina was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 36 years, William A. Schwaderer, Jr. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Justin Tatters, Erin (Kaleb) Baurichter, Adehl Schwaderer, Nicolas Leone, Jacob Leone, Kristin Tatters, Ella Schwaderer, and her great-granddaughter, Logan Baurichter. Regina is also survived by her sister, Patricia Crossen and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Cecelia (O'Toole) Hagan; her brother, Thomas Hagan; and her sisters, Mary Britanik, Rita Blankette and Elizabeth Becker. Regina was a loving, giving soul who always had time for a friend, neighbor, family member or stranger. An avid reader who was enthusiastic and adventurous, Regina traveled widely as a young woman. Regina met her husband, Bill, while they were both employees of Westinghouse in East Pittsburgh. She then began her next career as a homemaker and mother. Regina was a member and served as President of the PTA at Patton Heights Elementary School in Monroeville. She was a 56-year active member of St. Michael Parish in Pitcairn where she served as a C.C.D. teacher and an officer with the Christian Mothers. After raising her children, Regina volunteered for 25 years at Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville and was a member of the Westinghouse S.U.R.E. He was born January 18, 1963, to Phyllis Brooks and Kenneth Lewis, Sr. Kenny attended Allderdice High School, and later obtained his diploma. Kenny then married Lisa Lewis, and from this union fathered three children. He later married Sandy Lewis and from this union fathered one child. Kenny was currently employed at Allegheny Housing Rehabilitation Corporation, where he worked in the maintenance department. He will be remembered by his big smile, loud laugh, and bold personality. Kenny enjoyed watching sports, being surrounded by family and friends, especially his grandsons, good music, (Bootsy Collins, Frankie Beverly & Maze, and Cameo) just to name a few! HELEN VASKO Age 94, of Verona, originally of Regent Square, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020. Beloved wife of Bernard Vasko; mother of Larry (Chris) Vasko and Judy (Jim) Hopper; grandmother of Kate Vasko, Tara (Dennis) Hopper-Rice, Dan Vasko and David (Kristen) Hopper; great-grandmother of Emilia and Zachary Rice; also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She retired from Bell Atlantic after working there for many years. She loved to play piano and had a love for people and the Lord. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, 4401 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15224. Friends received in WILLIAM F. MARY B. BUCHLEITNER Age 85, of West Mifflin, died July 19, 2019. She is the daughter of the late Josephand Margaret (Weis) Strauss and beloved wife of the late Leroy N. Buchleitner, Jr. She was the loving mother of Nicholas (Jill) Buchleitner, Mary Margaret (Vinny) Butera, the late John (Jackie) Buchleitner, Donna (Jim) Sabo, Dianne Furnival, Denny (Betsy) Buchleitner, Lee Anne (Jim) Phillippi, Steven (Lisa) Buchleitner, Paul (Jamie) Buchleitner and Andrew (Jen) Buchleitner. She was the cherished grandmother of 15 grandchldren and 8 great-grandchildren; sister of Agnes Weir and Joseph Strauss. She was preceded in death by sister, Dolores Kelly; and brothers, Albert, Louis and Richard Strauss. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Resurrection Church.
