Cherished mother of Jason (Regina), John Michael (Crista), and Jeffrey (Christy) Woynar; grandmother of Delaney, Malley, Cullen, Devon, Alaina, Jacob, Hannah, and A.J.; sister of Janice Gilchrist, Jerrilyn Tomasic, Larry Lyons. REV. CHARLES A. "CHUCK" STAUDENMAIER Age 73, of Hamilton, Ohio, died Friday, September 6, 2019 at Berkeley Square Retirement Community. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on August 25, 1946, the son of Jack and Mildred (Faulkner) Staudenmaier. He was a graduate of Edinboro University and St. Paul Bible College. Chuck married Barbara Hawkins on August 15, 1998 in State College, Pennsylvania. He ministered for 33 years at several churches in the Christian and Missionary Alliance and retired from Bethel Community Church, Hamilton, Ohio in 2014. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; his son, David (Krista) Staudenmaier; his stepdaughter, Alace (Steve) Straw; his brother, Kenneth (Barbie) Staudenmaier; his sister, Jill (Joseph) Tambellini; six grandchildren, Brittany Creech, Kelsey Carpenter, Bailey Staudenmaier, Joseph (Laura) Straw, Megan (John) Lewis and Samuel Straw and a great-grandchild, Braylee Creech. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Susan Barclay Staudenmaier and a stepson, Will Morris. ROBERT "BOB" GRANT COX Of Mars, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, after living with cancer for 16 years. He was born in Holidays Cove, WV on November 17, 1938, as the only son of the late J. Frederick and Emma (Hall) Cox. He graduated from Mars High School in 1956 and served in the US Air Force, stationed in North Africa and subsequently completed his electrician apprenticeship. He was an active member of the Mars United Presbyterian Church, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 425, The John E. Mair Masonic Lodge No. 729, the Osiris Shriners, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 499, and the Sunny Majors Travelaires Camping Club. He and his wife founded the Mars Area Soccer Club in 1986, serving as the first president and certified referee. As a lifelong RVer, he and his wife enjoyed traveling to the 48 continental United States, eight Canadian Providences, and six Mexican States. In addition, they traveled to Alaska and Hawaii, the majority of Western and Central Europe, Russia, Central America, Eastern and Western Caribbean, and celebrated his 80th birthday in Japan. Husband of Susan (Clare Craig) Cox; father of Dr. Michael (Dr. Charity Scripture) Cox and Mr. Steven (Carla Butler) Cox; grandfather of Turner, Annabelle, and Miriam; brother of Barbara Cox and brother-in-law of Dr. Mary Ann Craig; uncle of Kevin Schuler and Kristine Schuler. He was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Schuler; and brother-in-law, Ovel Schuler. KEVIN DEAN KOLESAR Kevin, age 60 of North Versailles was taken from us suddenly, on Tuesday, September 10, 2019. Kevin was the son of the late Alfred “Al” Kolesar and the late A. Dolores “Dolly” (Kramer) Kolesar. He is survived by his siblings, A. Duane (Sue) Kolesar, Darell (Mark) Nassis and Beth Ann (Steven) Burke. Kevin is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Derek Nassis, Lauren (Matt) Bordogna, Steven Mark Nassis, Danielle Kolesar Fairbaugh, great-nephew Dominic Fairbaugh and great-nieces, Avery Grace and Alayna Bordogna. Cherished family friend of Carmella Behr and family. Kevin was a loyal and dedicated employee of the North Versailles Kings for over 20 years. After Kings closed In April of 2019 he was hired by Denny's. Kevin was an avid sports fan and especially loved the Steelers, Pirates and Penguins. He was the go to person for all sports statistics and important dates. He was also known for his unconditional love, he never complained, never asked for anything, and always took life as it was dealt to him. In spite of his intellectual disabilities, he was a true example to others. Kevin enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. GEORGE A. WOLF, III Age 50, of Millvale, PA died at home Monday, August 26, 2019. He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School which he paid for himself by working at the St. James Rectory and the Central Catholic cafeteria. George also received a degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He was the oldest of three brothers, the Irish twin of his surviving brother, Craig Patrick Wolf of Pittsburgh and preceded in death by his younger brother, Matthew Ryan Wolf. George is also survived by his uncle, Patrick Kevin Kelly of Somerset. George was one of a kind with a huge heart, clever wit, an infectious laugh and would lighten up any room he stepped into. George was a passionate fisherman, tennis player, cook and amateur comedian. In his own words, he was an “eat, drink, and be merry type of guy”. Above all that, George was a great friend and was loved by many. Everyone who ever met George was a better person for having known him. George was raised in the Regent Square area of Pittsburgh where he perfected his tennis skills on the clay courts at Frick Park. Later he brought those skills to Deer Valley YMCA Camp where he worked as a counselor for many years. George influenced and touched so many lives through Deer Valley and his legacy there will live on forever. He is also survived by an extended family of more friends and loved ones than can be counted. Today, the world is a little less funny, a little more sober, and a little less kind without George Wolf in it. A service will be held 12:00 Noon, Monday, September 16th at St. James Catholic Church at 718 Franklin Avenue, Wilkinsburg. JOYCE MILLER Her journey started on February 3, 1925, born from Wagner family in Canonsburgh, PA. Graduated from Canonsburg High School in 1943. Married Alfred E. Miller and later had first child, Kenneth in 1946. Her daughter, Kris was born in 1952 and from there moved to Penn Hills where her second son, Mark was born in 1957.While in Penn Hills, she became a member of Laketon Heights Methodist Church and worked there as secretary for many years. She lived in Penn Hills until May of 2016, where her daughter took her in her home in Chesapeake, VA and provided loving care for her until her journeys end with her first son, Ken by her side on April 14th, 2016. Throughout her life, she was kind and loving to everyone involved. Years ago, she helped many people with agoraphobia with a newsletter she developed. We will forever embrace her in our hearts and minds with thoughts and memories of shared moments in her many years of life. She loves her kids, grandkids, great-grandkids and her close friends. We loved her and were very lucky to have her as our Mom. Thank you Mom and may God bless your spirit eternally. Service to be held at Mt. AUDREY ANN CONROY Age 86, of New Albany, Ohio (formerly of Verona, PA and Shippensburg, PA), passed away on September 1, 2019. Audrey was born to Alexander Smith and Mary (Michesky) Smith, on January 1, 1933, in Pittsburgh, PA. She graduated from South High School in 1951. She married John (Jack) Conroy on August 29, 1959 and was married for sixty years. They met at the dance pavilion at Westview Park and continued to go dancing whenever they could. Audrey was the devoted mother of Stephen J. (Riza) Conroy of New Albany, Ohio and Amy M. (Douglas) Ensley of Shippensburg, PA. She was the beloved grandmother of John (Emiline) Ensley of Broomfield, Colorado, Jessica Ensley of Columbus, Ohio, and Aurelia Conroy of New Albany, Ohio. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers Fredrick and William Smith. Audrey was an avid cook, herb gardener, and bird watcher. She loved to hike in the many local, state and national parks which she frequently visited, especially Caledonia State Park. She was a Girl Scout leader and a past president of the Rosedale Women's Club. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor and love for her family. WILLIAM A. STEWART Age 92, formerly of Rochester, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2019 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. He was the husband of Gladys E. (Mattern) Stewart. They celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary in May 2019. Born in Rochester, PA, he was a son of the late William B. and Mabel (Barr) Stewart. William was a graduate of Geneva College where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering. He worked as a Combustion Engineer in the Steel Industry, including Bloom Engineering for many years before retiring. Mr. Stewart was an Army veteran of the 2nd World War. He was a life-long Lutheran and was a member of Ruthfred Lutheran Church, Bethel Park, PA. Survivors: wife; son, Mark A. Stewart and his wife, Debra S. of Columbus, OH; daughter, Dr. Beth A. Folio of Allentown; grandchildren, Janet R. Stewart, Arielle M. Oliver and her husband, Jeremy, Ryan M. Folio, Erica F. Bill is survived by his beloved wife Karen; daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly (Sasha) Stewart of Michigan and Katie (Chris) Yoke of Washington; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin (Hannah) Matter of Nevada; grandchildren, Jacob, Madora, Casey, Jimmy, Lainey, John William, Frankie, and Wesley; brother and sister-in-law, Ward (Marilynne) Casterton; sister and brother-in-law, Betsy (Bruce) Casterton Crow, and numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces. Gilbert was a merchant in McKees Rocks and Homestead and then became a financial advisor at Paine Webber for 20 years. He was active in the Jewish Federation of Naples where he was a Vice President. He was a Commander of the Jewish War Veterans Post 202 for ten years and a docent at the Holocaust Museum for many years after he and his wife of 63 years retired and moved to Naples, FL in 2000.
