YOST WILLIAM A. Of Carnegie, PA, passed to his eternal life on March 9, 2019. He will be best known for his kindness, love of family, and his commitment to coaching football and wrestling, a passion he held for over 45 years. “Coach Bill's” legacy will live on in his fellow coaches and the athletes he molded. Born on January 23, 1946 to the late William E. Yost III and Rozala Sherba Yost, Bill grew up very active in sports, playing football and wrestling. He graduated from Clarion University and started his career as a high school math teacher at Carlynton High School, a role he enjoyed to help children reach their full potential. He also began his football coaching career at Carlynton High School. Bill devoted his time, energy, and love to coaching his team to become successful football players and positive young men. He was most recently a coach for the South Fayette High School football team. Bill's passing will leave a void in the lives of the many family and friends he held dearly. He is survived by, and will be greatly missed by his sister, Mary Margaret Kissel; his nieces, Monica Edwards (Mike), Erica Kissel; and his great-niece, Peyton Kissel. He is survived by his uncle, Don Yost; and aunt, Janet Yost. Bill is also survived by the cousins he loved greatly, Donn (Kathie) Yost, Pam (Eric) Lawlor, Dale (Laurie) Yost, Tom (Louise) Yost, and Bob (Nicki) Yost. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Betty J. (Bordenick) Yost. Lastly, but never to be forgotten, he is survived by his South Fayette football coaching family, Joe Rossi, Mike Crown, Ryan Faraci, Shane Patterson, Scott Litwinovich, Derrick Carson, Joe Farkas Jr, Mike Slencak, and Ken Morgan. HOAK LYNN (FOSTER) Age 75, of Greensburg, died on Saturday, March 9, 2019 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. She was born in Linn, Oregon, a daughter of the late William R. and Miriam Watt Foster. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg. Lynn loved her grandchildren and enjoyed attending Steeler games with her family. She also enjoyed baking, cooking, crocheting and shopping. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Foster. Lynn is survived by her husband of 54 years, Richard “Dick” Hoak; her three children, Kelly Shuster (Bob) of Camp Hill, PA, Katie McMillen (Kevin) Murrysville and Rich Hoak (Andrea) of Greensburg; her grandchildren, Michael, Jonathan and Daniel Shuster, Patrick and Paige McMillen, R.J. and Jake Hoak; sister, Sue Buchan (David) of Dublin, Ohio; also, three nephews. Of Mentor, Ohio on February 25, 2019 is free from a lengthy illness that he fought in the same manner he lived his life; with courage, a biting stubbornness, determination, and an unbreakable spirit and resilience. Bernie was the ?rst born son of Mary and the late Raymond Marino of Pittsburgh, PA where Bernie was born and raised. He was a ?ercely devoted and dedicated father as well as a doting grandfather. Bernie worked tirelessly his entire life to see his dream of his own restaurant realized and accomplished his dream by opening Marino's Bar and Restaurant with his sons. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Marino and is survived by his treasured mother, Mary of Pittsburgh, PA; Robin Fritts, his greatest advocate and the love of his life who has stood by his side through every twist and turn; his loving sons, Remo and Christopher whom were his proudest accomplishment and truly his best friends, and his beloved grandson, Dominic who was his world. Also survived by his brother, Raymond (Diane) Marino; and sister, Cynthia (Peter) Citriniti; and his adoring nieces, nephews, cousins and an endless list of friends, all whom he cherished deeply. MARTINELLI PATRICIA ANN (GRACE) Age 75, of Belle Vernon, PA and Pompano Beach, FL passed away early Sunday morning March 10, 2019 in her home with her loving family by her side after a heroic four year battle with Glioblastoma brain cancer. She was born in Brownsville on October 1, 1943 a daughter of John and Jenny Trio Grace. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, John Grace, Jr. and sister, Mary Jane Grace. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Dr. John J. Martinelli; sons, Dr. John R. Martinelli and his wife, Melissa of Belle Vernon, Dana Martinelli and his wife, Sheri of Ross Park; grandchildren, John M. Martinelli of Ashville, NC; Daniel K. Martinelli, Leo J. Martinelli of Ross Park. Patty was a resident of Belle Vernon for 52 years. She graduated from Redstone High School with the class of 1961. She was an executive secretary for General Electric Space and Missile Industry, Valley Forge, PA and a model and instructor at Barbizon Modeling School, Pittsburgh, PA. Patty supported the Children's Home Society in South Florida. Patty was the Matriarch of the Martinelli Tribe, a coal miners daughter who was determined, tough, beautiful and loved her family more than anything in the world. She had the heart of an angel not meant for this world. (Harbay) Belavic for 47 years; loving father of Robert J Belavic, Jr. and Jennifer M. Belavic; brother of Marian (Edward W.) Harbay of Grosse Ile, MI. Bob was a 1956 graduate of Rankin High School and after serving in the Army Reserves, attended Robert Morris University. McCourt; mother of Jason McCourt (Laurie), Mary Pat Koller (John), Eugene McCourt (Fran), Brian McCourt (Nadine), Jack McCourt (Susan), and the late William “Billy” McCourt; grandmother of Kaitlyn Musser (Dan), Jessica Koller and Michael, Kevin, Andria, Geno, Nicole, Dylan, Briauna, Connor McCourt, and Michaelangelo Giampoalo (Rachel); great- grandmother of Cecilia Pearl Musser; sister of the late Eugene Oresti, Mary Jane Tatar, Gilda Tatar, Yolanda Sedan, and Theresa Timko; enjoyed the longtime companionship of Paul Fuhs; also survived by nieces and nephews. Pearl was a “coal miners daughter" who left home in her early teens to work in the city to help provide for her family. She married Jim McCourt and lovingly raised six children while visiting her parents in South Park weekly. Pearl was an active member of St. Bede Church. She served her community as Democratic committee woman for 46 years spanning six decades. After raising her children she went to work for Allegheny County Deed Registry, until “retiring” at age 71. Not one to be idle, she took a job as a "Lunch Lady" at Shadyside Academy Junior School until her early 80s. In her spare time, Pearl enjoyed several varied interests: dancing, especially with her favorite partner, her sister, La; delicious cooking and baking; crafting and continuously maintaining her home by painting, decorating and gardening. She enjoyed summers at Midway Beach on Conneaut Lake. She loved all the holidays and would decorate the house accordingly. She was the most "Irish" Italian woman you would ever meet. Pearl was a strong woman that genuinely cared for all of her friends and family. Friends received at MCCABE BROS., INC.
