GARBERA THEODORE TED Peacefully, on his 92nd birthday, Ted passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2017. Caring and generous to everyone he touched, especially his wife of 62 years to Irene Scharba Garbera. Father of David and the late James Garbera. Also survived by his grandchildren, Alyssa, Scott and Matthew Garbera; brother of Stephen (Jackie) Garbera and Paul (Joyce) Garbera and the late John Garbera, Sophie Papinchak, Ann Atutes, Helen Alterio, Mildred Walewski and Joe Garbera. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at the VLADIMIR S. CORBA FUNERAL HOME, 300 East Main St., Carnegie on Sunday from 12-4 and 6-8 p.m., with a Parastas at 7:30 p.m. Funeral will be held on Monday, March 6, 2017, at 12:00 p.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church on Mansfield Blvd. in Carnegie. EVERYONE PLEASE GO DIRECTLY TO THE CHURCH. Officiating the funeral will be his nephew, His Eminence Metropolitan Antony (John Scharba) of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA. Ted proudly served the Army Air Force as a B-17 gunner during WWII. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made to Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church Restoration Fund, P.O.
