LOUISE PITASSI ELLIS Age 94, of Oakmont, formerly of Crescent Hills and Point Breeze, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Robert Hunter Ellis; loving mother of Nancy Louise Ellis and David Scott (Mimi Moschel) Ellis; grandmother of David Scott Ellis, Jr. Scott. Louise was a talented artist who specialized in designing medieval style stained glass windows for churches and other buildings. These included Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Bellevue, PA, Church of the Mother of Good Counsel, Homewood, PA, and the Oakmont Carnegie Library, Oakmont, PA. She was the owner of Pitassi Stained Glass Studio and a member of the Pittsburgh Society of Artists, the National Society of Arts and Letters, and the Oakmont Garden Club. Over the years, Louise taught her creative skills to others at the Pittsburgh Center for Arts & Media, as well as other various locations throughout the Pittsburgh area. In addition to her passion for art, she enjoyed playing the piano and attended Oberlin Conservatory of Music.
