JOHN M. "RED" QUINLAN Age 95, of Lawrenceville, on Tuesday, March 31, 2020. Beloved husband of the late Harriet A. (Gryniewicz) Quinlan; loving father of John T. Quinlan, Eileen (the late Daniel) D'Amico and the late Maureen (surviving husband Ted) David; devoted grandfather of Brian (Jenna Beverage) David, Jeffrey (Kristy) David, Elisabeth (Tzvika Bar-Chaim) David, Daniel D'Amico and Devin (Jamie) D'Amico; great-grandfather of Maya, Sophia, Jonathan and Charlotte; brother of Patricia (the late Robert) Walsh, the late Thomas (surviving wife Elizabeth) Quinlan, Paul (Patricia) Quinlan, Rosemary (Louis) O'Neil, Francis (Jacqueline) Quinlan and James Quinlan; brother-in-law of Mary "Babe" (the late George "Pud") Devinney; also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews. Red proudly served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in the 4062nd Bomb Squad during World War II. He was a proud graduate of Central Catholic High School and was the last surviving member of his 1943 basketball team. Red was a founding member of the Central Catholic Lettermen's Club. He was a longtime fixture at St. Mary's Lyceum and started Lawrenceville Catholic High School basketball program. Red was a longtime member and usher at St. Mary Church on 46th Street. Funeral and Burial private due to current restrictions on gatherings. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date. Arrangements by the WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, Lawrenceville.
